I make sure that they have clean bedding, fresh food, a cuddle, and playtime if they wish. Most pets are happier in their own homes, so this is a great way to find a middle ground that suits everyone. Photos and messages can be shared for peace of mind too.
As part of my services, I can also leave lights or a radio on in the evening so that pets have familiar sights and sounds. This helps with loneliness too. If there are fish that need feeding or plants that need watering, these tasks can be taken care of too.
